CorelDRAW Crashing issues. Please help

OK, I just purchased Corel Draw 4 last week. I also have Smart designer
4. I am having huge crashing issues with Corel. When I am working on a
design it loads very slow and normally will crash within 5-10 minutes.
Now it is crashing each time I try to open import a file. I have Adobe
CS3 as well and illustrator runs with no problems? I downloaded the
Corel from the internet as a trial an then just entered the activation
code from the disk I bought from DAS. Do you think this is anything
causing the problem? Do I need to uninstall and reinstall everything?
Will I still be able to install the corel on a second computer if I
take it off this computer and put it back on again? Please help I can
not get anything done with this pain in the butt program and it is very
frustrating.

Take a look and see how Corel is optimized. The default back ups are set at 100. This can sometimes cause it to lock up. I recommend changing it to 20. Go to Tools, Options and then the general settings on there. The undo levels should be set to 20. You can install Corel on several different computers with no issues on the registration etc. I have it on the shop computer and my laptop with no issues. I can't be working on both at the same time!

Hey Steve, they were set at 20. I will try and uninstall and reinstall with the CD disk and see if that helps at all. Hoping I don't have to reinstall all of my clip art book too. That would stink.
