A Digital Printing Network

I am having problems with the 540i completing a contour cut on a file it just had no issues with. The machine will start the cut and stop (not always at the same point) prior to completing it. The cutter head remains parked where it stopped cutting. I have same problem for several different files.

Is the media rolling smoothly. I have the same problem because I get a lot of static and the media sticks causing the machine to stop.
It appears to be rolling smothly. How did you get around the static problem?
I really haven't, I unroll a little media and that usually helps. I was thinking about buying one of those anti static cling mats to see if that helps.
I have been told but haven't tried it yet to use dryer sheets. Wipe the vinyl but also wipe where the vinyl slides on the printer.
This seemed to be happening to me. I was advised to turn the power off on the back for 30 seconds and then turn it back on and seems to resolve it.
I actually tape dryer sheets to the rollers on my SP300 and my CX300
This problem is suppose to be ip address related and some conflicts. I have changed the address and have yet to try it, but it is supposed to be the fix for it.
Tim when something similar happened to me it was a connectivity issue. Especially if it times out. That is why the installs are done directly from the computer to the VC. Although I have succesfully networked them there are two immediate issues - 1st that an IP address is used that does not conflict with another and 2nd that your virus software does not interpret the messages to the VC as an attack on system. If you are into TCP/IP then a review of the assigned addresses and the network address will tell you the range to place the VC.
