We haven't tackled this type of sign before. A client wants us to quote a large construction site style sign (the big panel you see on 4x4 posts listing parties involved and project name). What type of substrate do some of you use and how do you seal it if it is wood?

Permalink Reply by Butch on April 24, 2012 at 5:21pm I use 6mm or 10mm cora, 3mm - 5mm polymetal. Both hold up well.
Permalink Reply by Dennis Dunning on April 26, 2012 at 1:14pm I believe that we use the same substrate as Butch for larger outdoor signs (variously called Aluma-Corr or AlumaLite), its stronger than coroplast. We have also used a sign frame system sold by 4Ever Products (www.4everproducts.com). It includes 4"x4" pre-cut PVC posts, rails and rail caps. I posted a photo of an installation we did for Taconic Fitness that we did under Photos on this site.
