I had similar test prints and found out that the wipers were pushing dried ink to the end of the head covering some of the nozzles. I had to manually remove that dried ink to get my nozzles and deflections corrected. If you would like to know the proceedure I used I can send you a PM. I would rather not post it to the forum because some people would try it on their machines when they didn't really need to.

I plan on moving my VC to new building around August 2012, so will have tech out at that time to check everything over after move. So if possible I'd like to limp along my machine until that time to only pay for 1 trip out. Obviously if it can't wait, I'll have to cross that bridge sooner.
I'll wait to hear from you. Thanks

Permalink Reply by Lorri Schmidt on October 24, 2011 at 10:19pm Did you have to replace your head in time? What was the approx. cost of that?
Also do you have any guess as to why the heads block? I know I don't run it constantly but still do all the maintenance(as I was taught when machine set up). Obviously no one can know for sure but just a guess.
What ponders me is it printed great a week and a half ago and then BAM, it's bad or clogged. Doesn't make sense.
