Versacamm 540 - I have several orders to get out during this holiday weekend and I just started the first one only to have the colors come out wrong. Yellow will not work for red. Cleaned heads, made sure the ink is full and now I'm at a loss. Tech support is closed and I must get these done. Any ideas to help would be much appreciated. Cindy

If you go to function then down to cleaning rt arrow into cleaning and select test print is there any magenta printing?
If not chk the mag cart by pulling it out to see if it is empty. If empty replace.
Have you done a manual cleaning here is a link to our web site that will shown how it is done. http://www.advancedcolorsolutions.com/roland-printer-maintenance.php
How long has it been since you replace the cap top? The seals where the heads sit. They should be replaced every 6 to 8 months.
The mag captop tube leading to the pump may be clogged.
Great article. I don't have a replacement cap but is it possible to check the line without causing a big problem? Maybe clean it out if that is it. I pray it isn't the head - just saw the price of one.

Not a week. Just did a boat logo in red before so this was a surprise. Sucking the mag up to the head - is that like Mike was explaining to me or is there another way?

Deadlines.....that which does not kill us makes us stronger. I agree with Mike. If under warrantee I'd call now and leave a message and then call back first thing Tuesday. The tough part is explaining to your customer why their job wasn't finished on time. Equipment breakdowns are the bane of us all but cannot be helped.
Since you had just printed something with magenta in it and the next thing did not, I'd suspect either a piece of dried ink or dirt clogged the line or the damper. But don't take my word for it I'm no expert. There could be many causes but until you get someone down to look it over you'll be guessing and ruining the rest of your weekend. After all there really is nothing you can do unless it cures itself. Good luck.
