Just wanted to give you guys a little recap of what happened this afternoon.   For the last several weeks I've been having some minor but frustrating issue with my VS 300.  We kinda figured out that it was probably due to humidity in my shop and after cranking the AC for a few days things seemed to be going better.  Well, my dear friend and tech Steve happened to call yesterday and said he'd be in my area today and thought he'd stop in and say "hi".  I happened to mention that I was still having some problems and there seemed to be ink splattering still when I opened the front cover.   Scuba Steve said,"well we'll take a look".

My cap station needed to replaced which took and entire 5 minutes.  As Steve was in the bathroom cleaning up, he had a powerful cleaning cycle running and I just happened to be standing there watching when I noticed a steady stream of ink dripping to the floor.   HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM!  Steve immediately knew that what of my lines had popped off and obviously wasn't dripping into the tank.    Ohhhhhhh if we'd only had a camera ready we he opened that cover.  There was ink splattered absolutely over everything, cords, cables, boards, you name it.    You know you're in trouble when Steve turns white and says this is bad, really bad.  The next sentence was "you need to go to CVS and get alcohol, swabs and gloves STAT.  I am happy to report that after 2.5  hours of cleanup which included getting all of ink off and blowing out the clogged tube everything is running perfectly.  Can't thank Steve enough for stopping by and coming to my rescue!  I'm quite sure he missed his dinner plans, but I know for sure that he certainly saved me!

we should have gotten pictures!

ya no kidding!!!  Been better if I'd gotten a picture of your face when you opened that puppy up!!!   YIKES

still got ink on my hands - back to scrubbing!

Piling on this thread.. can we buy just the tubing?  My capping station is Good-to-go, however, one of the lines is clogged solid (previously cleaned out).. it needs replacing.  Many thanks to anyone that might answer.

Yes Darren, the Dealer can sell the tubing by the foot. Contact your local dealer or purchaser and let them know the length required. Swapping the line can be a user level task.
