Did you have a head crash with one of the pinch rollers?

First of all thank you for replying

Yes Sir we had a steel media clamp touch the head ...the right one which is fixed.

That is the information that should be provided up front - that is how I knew to ask and eliminates other things.

More than likely, the clamp knocked clamp out of position or broke it. Either could be hard to fix. Move the head to the center of the platen and look from front to see if you see it hanging. If yes then try to snap it back in place. If it snapped then you would need to order a new one or get a tech.

You will not be able to see it with out removing covers.

On both sides top center are screws - DO NOT REMOVE - those are holders that will fall into the printer and could burn out the boards. BTW - I do not answer chats for all you need me - POST

Sir that is not the case the carriage is moving normally till it reaches the right pinch roller. Then it starts beeping.

Also there is no hanging cable or wires seen.

Also the head crash was not so intense. It just touched the steel clamp and automatically went right side to the home position.

Note: This error started when during a cleaning cycle we dropped the media clamp to "Media-in" postion. The machine then went to sense the pinch roller and it started giving that error.

PS: Have attached a video of the machine giving error status. May i please request your good self to have a look and advise accordingly.

The video is attached here

Absolutely nothing on that video

When you say right side - facing the printer do you mean Left, or

The printer goes to the left and when it comes back to the right it starts beeping.

If doing video, do from the beginning so I can see the printhead move from right to left

Yes Sir i mean that the printer head moves to left to sense the movable pinch roller and starts beeping. I thinkit cannot sense the pinch roller may be something is stuck on the sensor. But where is the sensor located?. Could you please guide me for that.

Thank You Sir

Thank You Sir

I guided you above - it is on the rear of the cutter/head assembly

You may have to partially disassemble the cutter assembly which means removing the covers, also explain previously

As for the hows, that is tech level and we do not provide that info
