Hello, I was looking for a used 30" Versacamm and was told that a 24" model will be coming out.  I am only looking to do t-shirts and decals, so 24" is the perfect size for me.

My question is other than the obvious width limitations, can anyone think of a negative to a 24" machine.  Do the materials come in that size or would I be limited?  I just want to make sure I am not missing anything on the down side, as I know that the width would be fine for me.

Thanks.

Where did yoou hear about a 24" machine? I have not heard that one yet and I am a tech.

maybe transposed the numbers, Steve?

and Minlex was hearing about the new 42" VS?

I've been sitting here with baseball numbers all day............and that transposing issue has been on my mind for hours! (smile)

I have been known to transpose numbers, but not this time.

It is going to be a 24", and will be available in two versions.

What versions?

One with the white / metallics and one without.  I know that is probably not the best terminology.

The version without should be priced between 5-7K.

What dealer has information right now?

First, let me say my original post was sincere and nobody has replied.  I wasn't trying to start anything, only learn if there was a down side to buying a 24" unit.

Having said that, I was told by someone very very reliable that this is going to be unveiled soon.  If you are interested you might want to attend the sign show at the end of April.

I think when this is unveiled it will be a winner for Roland.  I know I have been on the fence for a Versacamm for several years, and I am ready to buy a new one when this happens.

Can someone confirm that I won't be excluded from any material if my width is only 24"?

You won't be excluded from any garment materials at 24". Sign products are another story but you had stated that it was not a concern for you. If they come out with it that would be a great addition.
