I want to thank everyone who assisted with this printer, with testing and thinking outside the box and methodically troubleshooting this beast! The issue turned out to be a clogged drain line from the C/M head. Took me a while to clean out the line…Continue

I replaced the ink discharge bottle with a new one and out of curiosity, I decided to run a deep clean to see the ink go into the new bottle. But when performing the deep clean, I noticed that the B/C runs into the bottle, but not Y/M? Does the ink…Continue

Well, after a 48 hour soak, numerous cleanings and test prints, I don't even see a speck of Y/M so I guess unless a miracle happens, it has to be the print head. Oh well.Thank you all for your tips and suggestions, they have been quite helpful in…Continue

"Yes Kelly those colors on the left are the results of the head strike. You knocked out those nozzles. By chance, the ink dried and the head soak will remove, but more than likely not in your instance.  If this was a tech call, then I would be…"

"Thanks Irving -- One clarification, please: You wrote, "The Head jammed when it was returning home. The columns shifting to the right is the indication." Are you referring to the Cyan & Magenta columns on the left? Also, any ideas as…"

"The Head jammed when it was returning home. The columns shifting to the right is the indication. If you followed the steps you listed and soaked for 48 hours, checking after 24 to refill fluid drawn into the nozzles, then you need a new head to fix.…"

We've had it for over 5 years & bought it from a private business that closed. We use certified Roland inks. The machine does not get used very often but I had been running a cleaning on it every couple of weeks (and I will admit that it was sometimes longer than a couple weeks in between cleanings). The test prints always looked fine until recently (please see attached photo). What…See More

"If you haven't yet, get new cap tops, that will also assist and maybe get some back. From experience deflecting nozzles rarely come back, as they are usually due to either a head strike or rub and are slightly damaged, however, if they are…"

"Well, I am hoping now that the drain line is unclogged, that further cleanings might improve the heads simply because there may now be even suction from the pump, but this might be an incorrect assumption, but can't hurt to try. Will try…"

"Glad to hear you were able to get it to work. I did take a look at the test print and you do have some deflecting nozzles and some missing, but once you do the head alignments and the adjustments, you might be able to play around with the settings…"
